What Our ROCKTAPE Service Can Do For You
ROCKTAPE is stretchy tape, similar to KT tape, used to help stabilize an area to reduce pain and inflammation. Dr. Angela Imgarten is ROCKTAPE certified and proud to offer this service to our community.
It can be used after an injury and is similar to what you see on Olympians when competing.
- Applied to the skin to stabilize an area
- Can be used on most muscles or joints
- Similar to what you see with professional athletes at times
- Like in the Olympics
- Can be used to reduce edema (inflammation/swelling)
- Reduces pain
- Can decrease healing time by helping to reduce the edema and stabilizing the area to give the tissues a break
- Can help with posture by reminding your muscles/body what to do
- Corrects bad posture and promotes good posture
- Also used on pregnant women to help reduce the tension and pressure on the low back and pelvis by lifting and supporting the belly
